November 2018

Rows of lamps mark the doors and firecrackers lit up the sky as I, on behalf of the entire Redefine family, take this opportunity to wish you a very happy and bright Diwali! I wish this Diwali lead you from untruth to truth, from darkness to light and from failures to an array of accomplishments.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our valued clients whose continued trust and confidence in us has inspired us to take innumerable gigantic strides and to deliver par excellence.

On this festival of lights, I would also like to shed a light on our firm commitment to keep pace with the latest industry trends and to constantly innovate in order to create exceptional client experiences and to build long-lasting relationships with our clients.
My experience in the marketing segment tells me that communities flock to brands during the festive season, but it is difficult to retain these customers beyond the season to build a base of loyal consumers. In fact, real brands are those that go past the flavour of season- the ones that hold consumers close to their heart, come rain or sunshine. One takeaway from here is the need to harness the explosion of participation and engagement that is unleashed during festivals to reinforce relationships for future by creating epic and unforgettable experiences.

Another learning will be to forge a perennial marketing strategy equipped to thwart the strategies of competitors and to foster unobstructed and authentic relations with consumers, harping on the momentum gained during the festive season.

It also gives me immense pride to report that Diwali has been a harbinger of tremendous joy to Redefine and SMBConnect with the successful conclusion of our maiden Advaita awards ceremony in Jaipur on 25th October, 2018. I wish that this festival of lights herald a new dawn and add sparkles and glitter to the lives of all women entrepreneurs who have dared to undertake the adventurous journey of entrepreneurship.

Finally, I would like to seek your continued support and patronage - and thank all our well-wishers who have contributed to our growth.

Best Regards,
Sandipan Ray

Learning Curve
Redefine is an incredible place! I joined Redefine as a fresher in June this year and since then, I have experienced a dramatic transformation in my personality. I am more confident than I ever was. I have gained first-hand knowledge about the events industry, become adept in data profiling and learnt how to customise my calls according to client-specific needs. The amount of knowledge that I have garnered in a span of just 5 months working with clients like Tata, SAP, ESRI and niche projects such as Advaita awards is tremendous as well as overwhelming. In becoming an individual that I have eventually become, the support and motivation that I have received from my manager, my team lead and my colleagues cannot be discounted. I will always be grateful to them for reposing their trust in me and for constantly encouraging me to do better. Redefine has nurtured me and helped me blossom and in the days to come, am confident that I will be able to enhance my skills to a level from where I can eventually get into client servicing.

Why advertising on taxis may be the most affordable thing you could do this festive season?

Technological advancements have brought about a tectonic shift in how marketers reach their target audience. Technology provides infinite avenues to advertisers to cater to their audience wherever they are, even while they are on the ‘move’. While marketers can rely on conventional mediums of advertising such as television, billboards, print and radio, advertising on cabs and taxis has opened up an entirely new segment for marketers to reach out to masses in an affordable and effective manner, especially in the festive seasons.

Marketing need not be static in today’s mobile world. It needs to evolve in tandem with the changing needs of the consumers.
