Road ahead: What’s next for Events?
We are looking towards the future in 2018:— trends, predictions, and long-term roadmaps. JFM ( January February March) will pave the way for actions in the year ahead!
I have tried to sum up the glimpse of the near future of events- The future that you can put into action today.
Venues take charge of customer experience
Arenas aren’t just empty vessels waiting for an event to fill them up- they are now the components of an exceptional customer experience. They have their own ecosystems, infrastructures, and brands. These days through multiple channels and talented teams, arenas ensure that every guest gets a prime experience, whether it’s their 1st or 500th time at the site. |
Experiential marketing gains traction
Traditional advertising is dying .Every event is an experiential activation- Even as digital advertising picks up,plain jane ads are no longer the main way to reach potential customers
Creativity and Trade show innovation is on the rise
Events are getting more interactive and experiential. Immersive, contextual designs for booths at a global level are replacing the old billboard-style setups. Advances in LED technology are making high-resolution digital displays easier like we did for our client British Telecom for their roundtable set up
Events are getting sleek and smart
Artificial intelligence, experiential zones, Machine learning, data gathering ..all these things are all gearing up the event space .We are getting to see he latest in event decor and visual trends with geometric patterns, math-inspired designs, and “tech colors.” |

Blitz kick off incentivised, awarded and recognised the partner sales force and it consisted of power-packed days to accelerate the momentum in the business. |

Flipkart's( Flipstar) #Workislove Campaign where the couples who were in love became business partners .The video tells their journey with Flipkart , love story and how they strengthened their partnership and took life and business to the next level. |

#Superheroes of FLIPKART- The video was shot featuring sellers who have jumped from bronze /Silver category to gold on Flipkart because of driving high quality for customers. Flipkart basically rewarded and encouraged its quality sellers . At the heart of the programme was a drive to incentivize sellers and give them an understanding on what it takes to move higher and enjoy more benefits. |

If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore - This quote by Michele Ruiz, An emmy award winning journalist is befitting to Gaurvi Bhasin Thakur, the woman behind Redefine’s niche community projects - EduConnect and Healthcare Connect. Changing the landscape from Public Relation Manager in a MNC to World of Glamorous Fashion Shows; then Architecture/Structural Engineers to Education and Health Space (covering the journey from India to Sri Lanka to India literally) was no mean task but the aspirational arc and firm grit in Gaurvi which helped her find the standing!
Through the Redefine Looking Glass: “Mr. Sandipan Ray entrusted the responsibility of two new verticals with me which was a huge challenge! But I have been able to manoeuvre things around and we did our first EdTech Conference in two cities last year, followed by the second slated edition |
this year. Everyone needs a good environment to flourish and shine; Redefine has been exemplary - with all of the positivity and motivation. Mr. Ray, has been a pillar of support in guise of a boss- forever guiding like a lighthouse -This is something every organisation doesn’t hold within it. The eclectic mix of people around and the team support is unparalleled.”
The rule book: “Focus, conviction, belief, patience and respect for humanity. These things drive and sustain me personally and professionally both."
Work-life balance: People often told her about the difficulties of managing both - home and career. “Last year while suffering a personal setback when my whole Family met a road accident, the management at Redefine gave a leeway in terms of timings to manage my work schedules. I felt empowered and a sense of belongingness - the whole experience was just gratifying. The management acted like behind the scene supporters and with my dedication, I just showed how to do it," she says.
On the radar: She is currently looking ahead to scale up the ventures and take EduConnect and Healthcare Connect to new heights with more branding partnerships, events and building a community of influencers. “They are my babies, I have incepted them and will make them flourish” says a twinkled eye Gaurvi!

It’s been 2 years with Redefine and I feel great to be a part of Redefine! People here feel appreciated and are recognized for their dedication and hard work. Redefine is my first organisation... the call centre business was intriguing to me because I had never worked in a call centre environment – which made this job a challenge. I love working here because my work varies from day to day – I get to turn my hand to a vast array of scenarios, making my job fresh and interesting. My colleagues, managers and staff make this a great place to work, as you get to have fun whilst working. |

Reconciliation of bank statement and coordinating with bank executives.Coordinating with the vendors.Reconciliation of accounts with vendors. Maintaining vendor registration documents. Updating entries in Tally ERP9.0. Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval. |
Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files.Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures.
Content Writer(2-4 years): The content writer will develop and create content for print, digital media, or product descriptions, marketing collaterals. Writer will communicate with leadership, clients, and potential interview sources. Must follow company editorial style guide. Excellent writing, spelling, and understanding of grammar are essential to the role.
Telecalling Executive(1-3 years): Efficiently making outbound calls or B2B calls. Data validation and managing database. Identifying opportunities as per the activity. Conducting In-Depth web based primary and secondary research. Inviting Relevant Level People for Community-related Events/Seminars. |
