As we get ready to say good bye to 2017, we thought it makes sense to share the New Marketing trends that rule the roost. This will also help us formulate our strategies for year 2018. Our association and expertise has helped us understand this a little better, today firms have many marketing options - affordable technology is playing a big role in spreading their messages and getting the attention of potential customers. So here is our take on the trends that grab the largest share of marketing dollars in B2B space

1) Digital engagement is paramount - Digital Marketing continues its rapid growth in the year 2017 and in the years to come. To measure and build upon this reality, you have to make digital engagement a core tenet of 2018 marketing plan. Social media marketing is just one type of digital marketing. By relying on PPC ads, native ads, SEO and email marketing businesses can seize plenty of new opportunities in the fast- and ever-growing online world.
2) Video will be everywhere - Companies that use video in their online marketing draw 41% more traffic to their websites than those who don’t. In 2018, at Redefine we have launched a full-fledged video production and marketing department and rolled out many popular videos for our clients like Flipkart, Autodesk, BT etc.
3) Copywriting = storytelling - Storytelling is timeless, and many B2B marketers  have to learn not to typecaste  their audiences as business entitie.B2B customers have many faces, personalities and behaviors  which you can tap into via strong, innovative stories pushing readers further through the sales funnel with every word  being another touchpoint.
4) Data: The Currency of the Trust
Marketing automation delivers account-based marketing success with B2B companies having more tools than ever in their quest to secure more clients. 5) Case studies and testimonials will reign supreme
Case studies and testimonials have always been great marketing tools for B2B firms-they provide additional information to buyers making a purchasing decision. To capitalize on the goodwill you’re generating among existing clients, ensure that you set aside a healthy budget and enough time to develop  these. Display them prominently on your website and in your sales collateral-you can never have too many.
6) Email newsletters become the new brand magazine - Today’s B2B organisations and brand shops have new stories to tell - and they’re delivered straight to your inbox. Long form copy is in again.
7) Social media lead generation:  Leads are coming in from social media and we at Redefine bear testimony to this fact. Already, 94% of B2B marketers distribute content via LinkedIn. Combine that with LinkedIn’s 2.74% visitor-to-lead conversion rate, and you have a social network that’s just waiting for more B2B marketers.

Well, here’s the thing. The roarious laughter of Mani Vijay is infectious in the entire Redefine office. He joined as a Telecalling executive in 2014 where he was responsible for inbound calls for various clients , SAP being the major one. He picked up the tricks of the trade and started doing what is essential- turning cold calls into cash. When he started telemarketing he was more geared towards business-to-business telemarketing. “A lot of people think telemarketing is like a boiler room operation or that we're out to spam people over the phone “says Mani Vijay who also attended meetings with SAP team and gave them insights about how to tap audience and bring in more Partners .

“We're definitely not spamming anyone, and it's like any other sales job. I had a background in sales and being able to sell something always came really easy to me. When you're trying to sell something

ver the phone, the person on the other end doesn't know who I am, they don't know anything about our company, and so it actually was kind of a struggle for me the first couple of months. It took me two months to bring on my first client and it was stressful. But I learned a lot from the other people in my office and my manager in the beginning by listening to how they pitched, how they talked, and what worked for them. Redefine provided me freedom and an unassumingly cool boss like Sandipan who was like a lighthouse and supported me in every endeavour. I was taken ill for a long period of time and had a second lease of life- Redefine welcomed me with open arms and harnessed my talent in the best way possible.
His is a classic story of spotting an opportunity and chasing it with guts, determination, lots of hard work and a little bit of luck.
